Take I-4 east, take exit 45, Fairbanks, and travel east two miles to Park Ave. in downtown Winter Park. Turn left at the light onto Park Ave., then turn right on Holt Avenue. The Hauck Auditorium will be located on your right. Parking can occur at the SunTrust parking garage on Lyman Avenue and Park Avenue (2rd floor). The Philanthropy Center will validate parking tickets. The auditorium is on the first floor at the very end. I'll have signs. If you get lost, call 975-6414.

Future Meeting Schedule: November 17, December - No Meeting
Goal 1. To educate the entire community on the role of the nonprofit sector as an important partner in the housing delivery process. a. Communicate housing and nonprofit needs to local area government b. Develop quantifiable goals for the Roundtable to allow for evaluation of this organization's effectiveness. c. Invite guest speakers to speak monthly. Pick out topic relevant to nonprofit housing providers (i.e. management, development, underwriting) and have speaker make 30 minute presentation. Goal 2. To pool skills and resources of nonprofit housing producers and housing support agencies a. To use the nonprofit Roundtable to gain organizational and functional strength to achieve our mission by convening regular meetings to share information, and to plan and coordinate activities of the participating nonprofits b. To evaluate and prepare an annual plan that quantifies projects and funding needs of the participating nonprofits and prepare joint funding support request to the various funding entities c. To promote and support emerging nonprofit housing organizations. Goal 3. To pursue various partnership opportunities and linkages with for-profit developers and builders. a. Strengthen relationships between nonprofits and private sector b. To become active participants in the Homebuilder's association to cultivate support of for-profit developers and builders and to seek out opportunities for joint-ventures, other business relationships and mentoring. Goal 4. To pursue activities that would increase the availability of low cost funds to nonprofits. a. Subscribe to legislative, funding resource. Monitor and report on upcoming funding programs. b. Develop calendar of funding source with contact, deadline and summary information. Goal 5. To pursue activities that would encourage governments to provide grants and loans to nonprofits for technical assistance and housing production.

Agenda Item 4 - Randy Sprayberry - Counseling Collaborative:
Randy Sprayberry was on-hand to discuss the status of the Counseling Roundtable:
- Summit Meeting:
The Collaborative has held its first working meeting between housing counseling providers and governmental agencies. The second meeting is scheduled for Friday, November 19th. At this meeting, the counseling providers and governmental agencies will begin to establish some curriculum and ground rules for homebuyer counseling programs. These ground rules will be the framework for accessing down payment assistance in the future.
- Center for Affordable Housing Sponsored Homebuyer Workshop:
The Collaborative is coordinating a homebuyer education workshop in conjunction with The Center for Independent Living. Because of the last hurricane, this homebuyer workshop has been rescheduled to December 4th.
- Train the Trainer:
The Collaborative is coordinating a Train the Trainer session to help teach and improve presentation skills, not only homebuyer counseling agencies, but all agencies who present information to clients. This workshop is free of charge and will be held on Tuesday, November 30th.
- National Federation Training:
The Collaborative sponsored a 3 ½ day counseling course sponsored by the National Federal of Homebuyer Counselors. Twenty-eight people participated in this very successful workshop. national certified training program for homebuyer counselors. It was culminated with a test. The Collaborative will offer the same workshop again in the spring of the year 2000.

This concludes the end of the meeting minutes. Please note that there will be no meeting in the month of December. The next meeting will be held on January 26th of the year 2000.
In the last meeting of the year 1999, the Roundtable is pleased to have on-hand two very important and influential people within the arena of affordable housing.
Julia Lemon from The Enterprise Foundation will be addressing the Roundtable as to the current status of her efforts in the Parramore neighborhood. Enterprise has been working for several months on a variety of initiatives within this area. Julia will introduce the new director, in addition to providing an overview of future directions within this neighborhood.
Bob Osterman will be on-hand from HUD to give us a year-end wrap-up of 1999 and what to look for in the year 2000. Bob will touch base on this past year's budget and some of the initiatives and changes that are on-hand for HUD in this upcoming year.
We hope that you can attend this last meeting of the year and hear these two fine speakers address topics related to each of their particular organizations.
